Job summary

U.S. News & World Report is seeking a Product Manager to own and grow Money products, conducting user research and shaping the roadmap.

Collaborate across teams including Tech, Design, Marketing, Editorial, and Compliance to deliver high-quality features while balancing user needs and business goals.

Hybrid work, with preference for New York or Washington, DC; remote applicants considered. Base salary $70,000–$90,000 with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of product management experience, preferably in financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in project management and stakeholder management.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate prototyping and improve workflows.
• Comfortable with data management systems.
• Basic understanding of APIs and integration workflows.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Empathetic and user-focused mindset.
• Hungry to gain exposure to complex aspects of product management.
• Strong interpersonal communications and problem-solving ability.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum and Product Owner role.

Responsibilities

• Understand user needs and contribute to the Money product roadmap.
• Conduct deep user research and analyze the competitive landscape.
• Define feature requirements and prioritize projects based on KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive initiatives.
• Test quickly vs precisely and iterate when hypotheses fail.
• Support user journey research and market analysis.
• Ensure requirements are thorough, testable and deliver visually successful outcomes.
• Measure consumer metrics and coordinate with Tech, Design, Marketing, Editorial, Compliance.
