Job summary

Mayer in Charlotte, NC is hiring a CDL Driver to join our team. The role involves delivering products to customers, branches, and suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

The position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with paid holidays and PTO, and candidates must have a CDL and meet DOT requirements. Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, proper documentation, loading/unloading, and supporting branch operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must pass pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review
• Must obtain non-expired medical certificate within 60 days of hire
• No license suspensions for traffic incidents in the past 3 years
• No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to/from customers, branches, and suppliers
• Ensure deliveries meet customer requirements and are damage-free
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Follow DOT and state driving laws and regulations
• Prepare orders for delivery and ensure proper documentation is completed
• Assist with loading/unloading and verification of material quantities and catalog numbers
• Handle returns and inspect condition of returned material
• May support branch activities including stocking and shipping as needed
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
