Job summary

Volunteers of America Ohio and Indiana is seeking Recovery Support Technicians for the Indianapolis Fresh Start Women’s Program. Roles include Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN positions in a residential setting supporting mothers and their children on the recovery journey.

You will provide direct client care, conduct 1:1 crisis interventions, facilitate skills training, and assist with intake and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license.
• Must pass state, county, and Department of Child Services background checks.
• First Aid & CPR certification required (VOAOHIN may provide if not obtained).

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to clients pursuing recovery.
• Perform 1:1 crisis intervention and document your work.
• Facilitate skills training for individuals and groups.
• Ensure compliance with DCS reporting standards for child abuse/neglect.
• Transport clients in company-approved vehicles when necessary.
• Conduct room searches and surveillance to maintain safety.
• Perform facility tours to ensure client safety and security.
• Complete and manage client intake procedures.
