Job summary

Metallus Inc. is seeking a Solidification Tender to safely transport, prepare, and handle materials, molds, ingots, and equipment throughout the steelmaking and casting process.

You will operate a variety of heavy mobile equipment, cranes, and hand tools, perform inspections, and coordinate with operations and maintenance to ensure safe, efficient production. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to work rotating shifts, and tolerance for extreme temperatures and

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to safely perform work in a heavy industrial environment.
• Ability to learn overhead crane operation, material identification processes, and computer-based production systems.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport, prepare, and handle materials, molds, ingots, and equipment throughout the steelmaking and casting process.
• Operate mobile equipment, rail equipment, cranes, casting equipment, and hand tools to move products and support production.
• Perform inspections, material identification, and basic maintenance tasks; coordinate with operations and maintenance teams.
• Adhere to safety procedures and PPE requirements in a heavy industrial setting.
