Castle Biosciences in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Molecular Technologist to support our clinical laboratory operations at Nova Place. The position emphasizes histological staining, imaging, and high‑complexity testing in a regulated lab.

You will work Monday–Friday from the Pittsburgh lab, with opportunities to pursue ASCP MB certification within two years and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, holidays, 401K with company match, health options, and stock grant on hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology from an accredited institution, plus 1-2 years of experience in a molecular biology testing environment, clinical, or equivalent laboratory environment.
• AND Completion of a clinical laboratory training program, OR at least 3 months of documented laboratory training in each specialty area where the individual will perform high-complexity testing.
• The Molecular Technologists in the clinical laboratory are placed on a track towards obtaining ASCP Technologist in Molecular Biology (MB) board certification within 2 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Histological staining and imaging, specimen management and preparation, and quality control review checks and documentation for high complexity clinical laboratory testing.
• Perform sample multiplexed immunofluorescent labeling/staining and digital imaging, with equipment setups and reagent preparation.
• Support inventory, quality management tasks, and adherence to lab processes to ensure accurate test results.
