Veracyte in San Diego is seeking a Contract Molecular Technician to assist with laboratory processes related to specimen testing and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will support molecular genetic testing and follow established protocols.

The Contract Molecular Technician primary responsibility is to assist with molecular laboratory processes associated with routine specimen processing and test performance under the direct supervision and control of licensed individuals. This may include assisting with the processing and testing of clinical specimens, maintaining lab organization and cleanliness, and adhering to quality control and quality assurance procedures. This is for a 1‑year contract position.
The Molecular Technician is knowledgeable about the use of equipment, liquid‑handling automation, databases, and software applications used in the molecular lab workflow. Maintains flexibility with regard to work schedule including section assignment, daily work shift and days of the week as determined by business need.

For candidates based in our San Diego office, the salary (or hourly range) is $23.50 - $28.60.
