The James Molecular Pathology Laboratory at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Medical Lab Technician- Testing to perform patient specimen processing, media and reagent prep, and routine quality control.

This role supports safety, compliance, and documentation, maintains logs and databases, and works under the laboratory manager. ASCP certification required within 1 year; associate degree required.

• ASCP certification required within 1 year of hire

Responsibilities

• The Medical Lab Technician- Testing is responsible for all areas of patient specimen processing, media/reagent preparation, participates in performing preventative maintenance, quality control and assists with safety and compliance.
• Maintains databases and other tools for record keeping and documentation in the laboratory ensuring inspection preparedness / readiness.
