Job summary

The Laboratory Technologist II at Medical University of South Carolina will perform high-complexity molecular laboratory tasks supporting ctDNA assay development and validation under the guidance of the Principal Investigator. Responsibilities include conducting experiments, analyzing ddPCR data, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a regulatory framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related medical or scientific field and relevant lab experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of lab experience in an academic, translational, or biotech setting.
• Experience with NGS, ddPCR, liquid handling or automation platforms and related molecular assays preferred.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out molecular laboratory experiments and analyses for ctDNA-based assay development and validation.
• Support high-complexity molecular workflows under PI supervision and ensure data accuracy.
• Document research activities in approved notebooks and update data analyses as needed.
• Generate reports evaluating project progress and performance.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stocking of supplies and reagents.
