Job summary

The Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (ADDL) at Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine seeks a full or part-time Clinical Molecular Biology Lab Technician to work Sunday and weekday shifts in West Lafayette, IN. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant work experience required.
• A biology or animal sciences degree is preferred.
• A veterinary nursing degree may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine or specialized diagnostic procedures/tests for identification of microbial pathogens of animals.
• Analyze data in support of diagnostic and research missions of ADDL; provide backup across laboratory sections as needed.
• Work as part of a team and independently under moderate supervision; multitask and stay flexible.

Education

Bachelor’s degree + 1 year experience

Biology or animal sciences degree preferred

Veterinary nursing degree may be considered
