Job summary

Charles River is seeking a Technician I for the Molecular Imaging Team in Mattawan, MI. You will administer substances to animals, perform husbandry duties, and assist veterinarians and other staff with study tasks.

The role requires basic data collection, strong communication, and the ability to work extended or irregular hours as needed. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $21.50 per hour USD and will reflect experience and location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Computer skills, commensurate with essential functions, including the ability to learn a validated system.
• Ability to work extended hours including evenings, weekends, and short-notice shifts.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsor visa now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Administer substances to animals and provide care as part of animal studies.
• Perform husbandry duties such as cleaning/transporting caging and providing food and water.
• Collect and handle data and specimens; assist veterinarians and study personnel as needed.
• Support process improvement initiatives within the safety assessment team.
