Job summary

City of Hope in Irvine, CA is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I/II to perform a wide range of nuclear medicine examinations across all ages, utilizing SPECT-CT, Gamma Cameras, PET-CT with diagnostic CT, and PET-MR when applicable.

You will assist physicians in therapeutic administration of radioisotopes, maintain records per regulations, and contribute to advancing diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities in nuclear medicine within our cutting-edge department. BLS and state certs required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.
• 3+ years in Nuclear Medicine as a Nuclear Med Technologist.
• California State Certification in Nuclear Medicine AND CNMT or R.T. (N) (ARRT).
• Certification in Computed Tomography ARRT (CT) (highly preferred).
• BLS.
• Note: Candidates with less than 3 years as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist will qualify as a Molecular Imaging Technologist I; the pay range is: $48.44/hr - $62.97/hr - $77.50/hr.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures for patients of all ages that require the safe and effective use of radionuclides.
• Utilize safe techniques to include protective shielding and prescribe safety standards for the preparation and handling of radioactive sources.
• Maintain records of radioisotope receipt, use, storage and disposal in accordance with state and federal regulations governing the accountability for radioactive materials.
