Charles River Laboratories seeks a Technician I for our Molecular Imaging Team in Mattawan, MI. This role supports animal care, data collection, and study tasks within a regulated preclinical setting.

You will administer substances to animals, perform basic husbandry, observe health status, and assist veterinarians and staff. Strong communication and flexibility are essential as schedules may include extended hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of work experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Computer skills, including the ability to learn a validated system.
• Ability to work extended hours including evenings, weekends, and extra shifts; sometimes on short notice.
• Ability to work under specific time constraints.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Administer substances to animals and perform routine husbandry duties.
• Perform clinical observations to assess morbidity and mortality.
• Collect and handle data and specimens; euthanize animals as needed.
• Assist veterinarians and staff with animal care and study-related tasks.
