Job summary

Optima Medical in Arizona is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine to high-complexity testing across chemistry, hematology, toxicology, and molecular diagnostics in a CLIA-certified lab. You will support pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic processes to ensure accurate patient results.

The role includes instrument maintenance, quality control, compliance with CLIA and state requirements, and collaboration with technologists and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in MLS/CLS or related field preferred.
• National certification through ASCP or AMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee molecular and toxicology testing procedures as needed.
• Perform pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic steps for accuracy.
• Maintain calibrations and quality controls for instruments.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, Arizona requirements, and SOPs.
• Document results and communicate with supervising staff.
