Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a detail-oriented individual to support the Molecular Diagnostics team on days, 40 hours per week, at our Detroit area facilities. The role focuses on accurate data entry, pathology report transcription, and coding within laboratory information systems to ensure timely, precise case processing.

The successful candidate will excel at typing, proofreading, and multitasking, providing essential backbone support to diagnostic workflows while maintaining strict quality

Qualifications

• Accurate and rapid data entry with good spelling, grammar, and proofreading.
• Must transcribe pathology reports using LIS with high accuracy.
• Ability to code diagnoses into the Lab and patient information systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Type clinical histories into information systems and print cassettes, ensuring VIP treatment for each case.
• Triages and tracks a variety of cases and materials to keep the workflow moving smoothly through the pipeline.
• Follow highly specified standard work procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Manage multiple cases and materials simultaneously with precision and focus.
