Job summary

University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Molecular Biology Research Technician (Temporary) to support major research objectives by collecting and analyzing data, maintaining records, and organizing lab space. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry or related field.
• Experience in molecular biology.
• Familiarity with using computers to analyze data.
• Familiarity with reading scientific literature.

Responsibilities

• Carry out projects to support the major research objectives by collecting and analyzing data.
• Maintain laboratory records.
• Organize and maintain lab space.
• Maintain laboratory and chemical inventory and coordinate ordering with PI to replenish as needed.
• Perform general lab housekeeping including autoclaving biohazardous waste as needed.
