Job summary

Debut Biotech is seeking a Molecular Biology Technician to support preparation of microbial growth media, plates, and stock solutions. You will be a critical contributor to our research and production teams by performing lab support tasks, including glassware cleanup and autoclaving.

An organized, proactive, and motivated team player with strong communication is ideal. The role requires the ability to follow detailed SOPs, stand for long periods, and lift up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree +1 year experience or HS Diploma/GED +2 years in a lab setting.
• Experience with lab equipment and techniques (pH meter, autoclave, weighing, pipetting, aseptic technique, plate pouring).
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions precisely.
• Ability to perform complex lab procedures reproducibly and maintain records.
• Good organization, time management, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, organized laboratory environment.
• Perform glassware cleaning and sterilization.
• Prepare buffers, growth media, analytical standard solutions, and plates per SOPs.
• Assist team with experiment setup, sample collection, and analysis.
• Maintain supplies and notify purchasing for reorders.
• Work off hours and weekends as needed.
