NYU Langone Health’s Grossman School of Medicine seeks a Senior Research Technician to support a Senior Research Scientist through molecular biology operations, including DNA/RNA extractions from diverse samples, troubleshooting workflows, and maintaining the molecular laboratory.

The ideal candidate has strong nucleic acid extraction experience, keeps accurate records, calibrates instruments, and ensures timely data delivery while adhering to HIPAA and CAP requirements in a fast-paced research

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field with 3 years of laboratory experience.
Experience with DNA/RNA extraction and molecular biology workflows.
Solid foundation in basic lab protocols and data recording.

Responsibilities

Executes DNA/RNA extractions from diverse biomaterials and performs QC and cytokine assays.
Maintains detailed experimental records and ensures timely data delivery.
Maintains and calibrates instruments and coordinates routine upkeep and service requests.
Coordinates specimen data entry in LabVantage or FileMaker Pro.
Adheres to HIPAA and CAP accreditation requirements and supports team communication.
