Job summary

BD is seeking an Injection Molding Operator to support production in USA NE - Broken Bow. You will operate presses, perform material handling with a forklift, and ensure quality, waste, cost, and safety goals are met in accordance with GMP.

You will keep work areas clean, assist with inventory, and collaborate across shifts to meet department goals while adhering to BD policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write and converse in English.
• Willing and able to uphold BD Values.
• Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds occasionally or 10 to 25 pounds frequently.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator.

Responsibilities

• Handle all stacking, corrugated case construction and perform assigned duties at presses according to production volume.
• Move and stack production pallets as needed.
• Responsible for cleanliness and orderly condition of a designated area of the molding department.
• Observance of all safety and environmental procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Familiar with raw, in-process or finished materials and their locations and is responsible for neat storage.
• Possess a working knowledge of all processes and the components required to operate processes within the molding area.
• Accurately records and reports waste, and assists supervision in inventory control.
• Transports components from manufacturing to staging area.
• Deliver molded components to Raw Material Warehouse.
• Scan materials to storage locations in warehouse.
• Remove materials from warehouse storage locations and prepare for transportation to production. Manage colorant and additives as needed.
• Maintains clean working conditions in assigned areas and reports any safety hazards to supervision immediately.
• Must be able to operate a forklift safely.
• Work with limited supervision and maintain an atmosphere of cooperation across shifts and departments to attain goals.
• Transportation of raw materials and finished goods to and from molding areas as needed for production.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by supervision.
• May include answering machine/equipment alarms as needed.

Job Description

Assist in the operation of Injection Molding presses with proficiency while meeting quality, productivity, waste, cost, housekeeping, and safety goals in accordance with standard procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices. Provides material handling support to the molding area through transporting products to and from any stage in the manufacturing process, by using a powered lift truck to ensure budgeted throughput rates are maintained in all operations in the molding area. Scans materials to storage locations in warehouse and removes materials from warehouse storage locations to prepare for transportation to production.

• May include answering machine/equipment alarms as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and write and converse in English.
• Willing and able to uphold BD Values.
• Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures, and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds occasionally or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly. Physical demand requirement is more than those for Light Work.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator.
