Job summary

Silgan Dispensing in Slatersville, Rhode Island, is seeking a technician to produce dispensing closures in a quality-focused, cost-efficient manner. You will set up and maintain molding machines, troubleshoot issues, and assist Sr.

Technicians in ensuring product quality and process productivity. You will read and follow procedures, document data in ERP systems, and train operators as needed to uphold safety and efficiency standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years in molding industry.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean molding machines according to standard practices.
• Adjust process with guidance from Sr. Technician to meet specs.
• Assist with automation equipment setup as needed (closing machines, box fillers, assembly machines, etc).
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
• Enter data into ERP and databases as required.
• Train operators as needed.
• Communicate requirements, changes, and issues to other departments/shifts.
• Assist in evaluation of non-conforming material and corrective action process.
• Work with Engineering and Tool Room to maintain cavitation standards.
• Maintain good housekeeping and energy efficiency.
