Job summary

Dynomax Inc. in Wheeling, IL is seeking a Molding Supervisor for the 2nd shift to coordinate production and lead molding technicians and operators.

You will work with small-tonnage injection presses and advanced materials such as Thermoset and Thermoplastics, under the direction of the production coordinator and general manager. The ideal candidate will have hands-on supervision experience in a molding environment, strong problem solving, and the ability to read engineering drawings and manage

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in Thermo Plastics and Thermo Set materials.
• Ability to read and interpret part/engineering drawings.
• Ability to use basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
• Ability to delegate and assign work to appropriate personnel.
• Knowledge of company policy and employment laws.
• Ability to organize, plan and prioritize workload in order to maximize production results.
• Complex problem solving skills and the ability to identify the problem, review and evaluate correlating information, execute high impact solutions.
• Advanced judgment and decision making skills- ability to carry out a cost benefit analysis of potential action plans and identify the most favorable outcome.
• Ability to implement and achieve the strategic initiatives assigned by the general manager.

Responsibilities

• Monitor department production, operations and quality to ensure standards and metrics are met.
• Direct and coordinate work tasks of direct reports.
• Assist production performing all functions and responsibilities of a molding technician.
• Assist in hiring and/or terminating department staff in compliance with policies and laws.
• Prepare and maintain personnel records of direct reports and submit to the department Manager and HR.
• Maintain time sheets and monitor overtime of direct reports.
• Analyze production, maintenance, quality control and other reports to detect and resolve concerns.
• Prepare, review and monitor department reports.
• Develop and implement ongoing production, quality and cost improvement initiatives.

MOLDING SUPERVISOR - 2nd Shift

A family-owned company, Dynomax designs, manufactures, and develops high-precision machined components, injection molding and tooling, sub-assemblies, automated work cells, specialty machines, and machine tool spindles since 1986.The Molding Supervisorwill be responsible for coordinating production and teamwork together with the production coordinator, molding technicians and molding operators on 2nd Shift. Will work with smaller tonnage Injection Molding presses and highly engineered materials such as Thermoset and Thermoplastics.
