Job summary

McDonald Plastic Molding, a subsidiary of A.Y. McDonald Industries, is a custom injection molding company producing high quality products for diverse customers.

The role involves starting up new production runs, improving efficiencies, troubleshooting equipment, and recording all process steps to ensure consistent quality. You will perform routine checks, support changeovers, and maintain equipment and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and participate in process improvements.
• Attention to quality and adherence to safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform an initial startup on a new production run after mold sets are complete.
• Work on processes to improve production efficiencies and reduce scrap rates.
• Research problems with equipment and tooling and take corrective action.
• Trouble shoot process issues in the factory and consult with designers/engineers for solutions.
• Document and record processes for all production runs for each customer.
• Conduct daily rounds and checks at each workstation and ensure machines run properly.
