Job summary

Georg Fischer LLC is seeking a manufacturing associate at our Little Rock, AR facility. The role focuses on visual inspection, packaging, trimming and safe operation of molding area equipment including band saws and pneumatic cutters.

You will follow safety procedures, participate in 5S and quality policies, and support continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Visual inspection skills and attention to specification.
• Ability to operate hand tools and machinery safely.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 lb with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts visually for defects.
• Perform visual and gauge inspections to specification.
• Package and label products as directed in WI.
• Trim all parts that need to be trimmed.
• Follow all safety procedures and report safety problems.
• Operate equipment in the Molding area such as the band saw and pneumatic cutter.
• Involvement in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
• Communicate with supervisor or QA technician when parts may need to be scrapped.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Inspect parts visually for defects
• Perform visual and gauge inspections to specification
• Package and label products as directed in WI
• Trim all parts that need to be trimmed
• Keep cell or line assign to him/her clean at all times to ensure the safety of the plant
• Identify, dispose, and label scrap
• Report all problems with the product to technicians or supervisor
• Operate equipment used in the Molding area such as the band saw and pneumatic cutter
• If the machine stops working notify technician
• Follow all safety procedures and report any safety problems to the supervisor immediately, as well as using 5s guidelines established for the department
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Involvement in our continuous improvement and safety initiatives
• Communicate when uncertain of parts that may need to be scraped by contacting a supervisor or Q A technician to inspect the product
• Supports the established Quality policy
• Fulfills the role as required in the documented quality system manual, directives and work instruction
