Job summary

Sanmina Corporation is seeking a Molding Operator for 7pm–7am shifts in Wisconsin. Responsibilities include removing molded parts, trimming runners, inspecting parts, and performing post-processing such as grinding, assembling, and packaging based on written instructions.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years of related experience. Prior Sanmina experience is a plus. This is a full-time night shift position within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Remove molded plastic parts from injection molding machines.
• Trim part from runner using a gate trimming side cutter.
• Trim flash from part if needed.
• Clean parts as needed.
• Visually and mechanically inspect parts using written and verbal instructions.
• Perform fixturing, assembly, or machining to size as needed.
• Pack parts in containers following written or verbal instructions.
• Stack full containers in designated area.
• Place runners and reject parts in the material grinder and begin grinding operation.
• Sort runners from parts on automatic presses.
• Record rejects parts at the molding machine.
• Complete data entry for good parts, scrap parts and time for each job.

Job Purpose:

The Molding Operator is responsible for removing injection molded plastic parts from molding machines. The operator then does work on those parts following various written and verbal instructions.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

• Remove the molded plastic parts from injection molding machines.

• Trim part from runner using a gate trimming side cutter.

• Trim flash from part if needed.

• Clean parts as needed.

• Visually and mechanically inspect part using written and verbal instructions

• Do further operations on the parts as needed. This may be fixturing, assembly, machining to size, staging parts in a cooling rack, sanding, sonic welding, hot stamping, weigh count, etc.

• Pack parts in containers following written or verbal instructions.

• Stack full containers in a designated area.

• Place runners and reject parts in the material grinder, then begin the grinding operation.

• Sort runners from parts on automatic running presses.

• Record rejects parts at the molding machine.

• Complete data entry process, such as listing good parts, scrap parts and time for each job.

Education and Experience:

• High School (or equivalent) Education.

• 2-4 Years related experience

• Prior Sanmina experience and systems knowledge is a plus.
