Job summary

QRC Group, LLC is seeking a Molding Engineer with experience in injection molding processes, workflows, and production equipment for medical devices or pharmaceutical industries. You will provide technical mold expertise and support start-ups and process improvements.

Responsibilities include mold set-ups, troubleshooting, Lean initiatives, and safe installation/removal of molds, ensuring readiness for each scheduled job and maintaining proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in technical field or equivalent experience with five years of injection molding experience.
• Experience with manufacturing workflows and production equipment.
• Computer skills including MS Office Applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in mold set-ups and/or changes in a timely manner according to production.
• Document all process-related data and troubleshoot/start-ups as required.
• Anticipate set-ups and job changes and ensure equipment/materials are prepared for the next scheduled job.
• Support process improvements, cost reductions, and scrap reductions through lean concepts.
• Manipulate machine controls to achieve desired parameters using established process controls.
• Set up conventional and complex molds with multiple core pulls, hydraulics, and manifolds.
• Install and remove molds in molding machines, observing safety methods.
• Initiate corrective action for jobs running out of standard cycle.

• Supportprocessimprovements, costreductions/savings,scrapreductions,etc.through theimplementationoflean concepts.
• Manipulationofmachinecontrolstoachievedesiredparametersusingestablishedprocesscontrolmethods.
• Sets-up conventionalmoldsaswellasmorecomplexmoldswithmultiplecorepulls,auxiliaryhydraulics,andmanifolds.
• Installationandremovalofmoldsinmoldingmachines,observingallsafetymethodsrelatedtothemachines, molds,and co-workers.
• Initiatecorrectiveactionforjobsrunning outofstandard cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in technical field or equivalent experience from an accredited university and five years of experience in injection molding process or industrial mechanic.
• Manufacturing, workflows, and production equipment experience.
• Computer Skills: MS Office Applications.
