Job summary

RESRG Automotive in Morehead, KY is hiring a Die Setter to safely and efficiently perform mold changes for injection molding operations. You will ensure molds, machines, robots, cranes, and related equipment are prepared and operating per procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

You will install and changeover molds, set up machines, troubleshoot tooling, read schematics, maintain documentation, and support production readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing and maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with computers and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Excellent language skills: read, analyze, and interpret documents; write reports and present information.
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform simple calculations.
• Strong reasoning ability to follow instructions and solve routine problems.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety requirements and procedures, including lockout/tagout, crane operation, 5S, and PPE.
• Perform injection mold tool installation, removal, and changeover to support production schedules.
• Safely operate startup/shutdown of related equipment, including robots, cranes, and injection molding machines.
• Set up, calibrate, and verify machines after mold changes for proper operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment, mold, and process issues and perform standard tool repairs.
• Read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics to support mold change and setup.
• Inspect molds, tooling, and equipment and report concerns.
• Maintain documentation related to mold changes, setup, repairs and equipment concerns.
• Communicate with production, maintenance, quality, and leadership to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and support continuous improvement.

Your Job

In support of Molding Department operations, the Die Setter is responsible for safely and efficiently performing mold changes, including the installation , removal , setup, and verification of injection molding dies. This role supports production readiness by ensuring molds, machines, robots, cranes, and related equipment are prepared and operating according to established procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

What you Will do in Your Role

• Follow all safety requirements and established procedures, including safety awareness, lockout/tagout, crane operation, 5S, and required personal protective equipment.
• Perform injection Mold tool installation, removal, and changeover activities accurately and efficiently to support production schedules.
• Safely operate and support startup and shutdown of related equipment, including robots, cranes, and injection molding machines, in accordance with work instructions.
• Set up, calibrate, and verify injection molding machines after mold changes to ensure proper operation and production readiness.
• Troubleshoot equipment, mold, and process issues and perform standard tool repairs or adjustments within scope of responsibility.
• Read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics to support mold change, setup, and troubleshooting activities.
• Inspect molds, tooling, and equipment for proper condition and report concerns, damage, or abnormalities through the appropriate channels.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to mold changes, setup activities, repairs and equipment concerns as required.
• Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams to support safe, efficient, and quality focused operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while supporting continuous improvement and team-based problem solving.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Manufacturing and maintenance experience (preferred).
• Experience with computers and Microsoft Office (preferred).
