Job summary

Amcor LLC in Erie, PA seeks a Mold/Tooling Engineer to design, develop and modify plastic molds and tooling. You will create 3D models, drawings, and BOMs, and collaborate across Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality to meet production requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline and tool design experience.
• Minimum 3 years of mold design or plastics tooling experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software and interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify molds and tooling for plastic manufacturing.
• Update, maintain and review mold designs and 3D models and drawings.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
• Support new product launches through tooling design, testing, validation, and implementation.
• Troubleshoot mold issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate tooling projects with external tool shops and suppliers.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
