Job summary

Millwork 360 is seeking a Mold Tech/Machine Operator in Tampa, FL to set up, operate, and monitor a Weinig Powermat 6-head moulder and produce high-quality moulding and millwork products. You will ensure dimensions, profiles, and quality meet specifications while maintaining a safe, clean work area.

The role requires reading orders and drawings, performing inspections, and making adjustments as needed. Overtime and team collaboration are expected in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read tape measure and use digital calipers.
• Familiar with fractions and decimals.
• Woodworking experience is a plus.
• Experience operating a Weinig Powermat or similar industrial wood moulder preferred.
• Ability to read work orders, drawings, and product specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
• Willingness to work overtime or adjusted schedules based on production needs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Weinig Powermat 6-head moulder.
• Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, drawings, measurements, and product specifications.
• Inspect lumber before processing and identify defects that may affect quality or machine operation.
• Verify that profiles, dimensions, finish, and overall quality meet specifications.
• Make machine adjustments to correct quality or production issues.
• Perform routine cleaning, inspections, and preventive maintenance as assigned.
• Label, stack, and organize completed products according to established procedures.
• Minimize material waste and support production and efficiency goals.
• Follow all lockout/tagout, machine-guarding, PPE, and other safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with cross-training and other production duties as needed.
• Follow and complete daily production schedule.

Position Overview:

The Wood Moulder Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring the Weinig Powermat 6-Head moulder to produce high-quality moulding and millwork products. This position ensures products meet required dimensions, profiles, and quality standards while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work area.

• Experience in millwork, woodworking, lumber processing, or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read work orders, drawings, and product specifications.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work overtime or adjusted schedules based on production needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to follow safety protocols in the workplace.
• Ability to squat, bend at the waist, and stand for several hours.
• Full-body mobility required to perform production demands of production.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and handle lumber or finished products.
• Ability to work around moving machinery, wood dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
