Job summary

ALPLA Group in Kansas City, MO is seeking a dedicated Mold Shop Technician to oversee mold maintenance, inspection, cleaning and preventative tasks. You will coordinate with Production Planners to align mold readiness with production goals and liaise with vendors for parts and services.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in mold-related maintenance, ability to read drawings, operate milling machines, lathes and surface grinders, and lift up to 50 lbs. This role requires strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years related experience.
• Completion of Technical College or equivalent Apprenticeship Program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mold Maintenance: Cleaning, Inspecting, Preventative Maintenance, Repairing/Corrective Maintenance, Documentation.
• Machining: Modifications and maintenance of parts as needed.
• Inventory Control: Maintain records of mold drawings and spare parts; order replacements as needed.
• Coordinate with Production Planners to align toolroom activities with production goals.
• Liaison between plant and external mold vendors; act as main contact for technical department.
• Maintain communication with NOAM Mold Specialists on mold related matters.
