Kohler Co. is seeking a Mold Setter - Set Up 1 to work onsite in Sheridan, AR. The role involves reading blueprints, setting machines, and ensuring product specification tolerances while optimizing cycles using scientific molding principles.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and BOMs for product specifications.
• Install and adjust holding devices; position molding tools.
• Set speed and feed according to operation type and verify tolerances.
• Assist with process problems, including cycle optimization using scientific molding principles.
• Instruct Operators in machine setup and operation.
• Set up machines and equipment beyond basic machine tools.

Location: Onsite- Sheridan, AR

Competitive Compensation: Starting at $23.25 per hour

Shifts Needed: Red 1 (2/2/3 05:48am - 6:00pm)

Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities

• Perform all duties associated within the department.
• Follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Read blueprint, bill of materials (BOM for product specifications.
• Must have Knowledge of dryers blenders and granulators.
• Installs and adjust holding device and fastens specified molding tools in position.
• Selects and set speed and feed of machine according to type of operation.
• Starts machine to obtain first run work piece and verifies dimensional tolerances.
• Must be able to assist with process problems that may arise which include but are not limited cycle optimization using scientific molding principles.
• Instructs Operators or other workers in machine setup and operation.
• Sets up machines and equipment other than machine tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Plastic Mold Setting manufacturing experience.
• Must have two year technical certification or eighteen months related training
• Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to read blue prints and have mathematical knowledge to calculate figures
• Must have SAP manufacturing knowledge
• Must be able to lift and or move 25 pounds-50 pounds frequently.
• Must have experience with robots and sprue pickers.
• Knowledge of Plastics resins such as ABS, PP,PE, Nylon, Acrylics, GFYN, Acetal, Isoplast, Noral, Dynaflex, Santopreame

The hourly range for this position is $23.25. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
