The Mold Parts Builder assists Mold Builders in assembling custom-designed production forms used in precast manufacturing. This role involves working from blueprints to construct wooden forms and blockouts with close attention to detail and tight tolerances. The position supports production efficiency by ensuring forms are accurately built, safe, and ready for use.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Stage and glue/nail stock materials
  • Load and unload raw materials, parts and components from CNC machine
  • Assist Mold Builders with constructing wooden forms and blockouts
  • Read and interpret production drawings and blueprints
  • Build components to close tolerance specifications
  • Use hand and power tools to complete fabrication tasks
  • Support accurate measurement and layout of form components
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety policies and production procedures
  • Assist with general shop duties as needed
  • Help ensure tools and materials are properly handled and maintained
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned to support production

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16 of an inch
  • Basic understanding of measurements and construction principles
  • Experience using hand and power tools (e.g., nail guns, saws, sanders)
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Commitment to safety and housekeeping standards
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location)
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
