Job summary

HellermannTyton is offering a Youth Apprentice Mold Maker position in Milwaukee. Trainees will learn moldmaking fundamentals under experienced moldmakers, identify tooling issues, and receive instruction to operate cranes, mills, and grinders while producing mold components and fixtures.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a high school diploma; junior or senior with good academics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills and detail orientation.
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Learn fundamentals of moldmaking under supervision.
• Identify and communicate potential tooling problems to a moldmaker or supervisor.
• Receive training to operate overhead cranes, manual mills, and surface grinders.
• Manufacture components for molds and fixtures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• As training progresses, assist in building tooling and components under mold maker supervision.
