Job summary

PlasticStaffing is seeking a skilled Mold Maker (Injection Molding) in Washington State for a full-time, first-shift role. You will design, build, and maintain high-precision injection molds, collaborating with design engineers, QA, and production to meet specifications.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in injection mold making, experience with MasterCAM/SolidWorks is a plus, and a strong understanding of molding processes. Benefits include relocation and housing assistance where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of experience as an Injection Mold Maker or in a similar role.
• Experience reading technical drawings/blueprints and working with injection molding processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive fabrication and assemble injection molds per drawings and specs.
• Operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and drills; EDM is a plus.
• Perform routine maintenance, repair, and modifications on existing molds.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to refine mold designs for new products.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify mold dimensions and quality.
• Troubleshoot mold performance and production defects.
• Maintain records of mold maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure safety compliance and a clean, organized workspace.
• Seek continuous improvements in mold-making processes.

Pay: $80,000 - 120,000/ Year + Full Benefits

Schedule: Full-time / First Shift / Monday - Friday

We are seeking a skilled Technical Mold Maker to join a dynamic team for a custom plastic injection molding company based in the eastern region of Washington State. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in designing, building, and maintaining high‑precision injection molds used in the production of various plastic components. This role involves collaboration with design engineers, quality control teams, and production staff to ensure that molds meet specifications. Key Responsibilities:

• Drive fabrication, and assemble injection molds according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Safely operate various CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and drills. Additional experience using EDM machinery is a plus.
• Perform routine maintenance, repair, and modifications on existing molds to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and refine mold designs for new products.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify mold dimensions and ensure accuracy as well as quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold performance and production defects.
• Maintain detailed records of mold maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve mold‑making processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mold making, machining, or a related field preferred but not required.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Injection Mold Maker or in a similar role.
• Prior experience using MasterCAM or SolidWorks software is a plus!
• Strong understanding of injection molding processes and materials involved.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time as well as lift or maneuver heavy mold components up to 60 lbs.
