Job summary

Latham Pool Products, Inc is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician to ensure molds are production-ready and structurally sound. The role includes performing repairs on fiberglass molds, maintaining mold surfaces, and ensuring a safe working environment.

This full-time position offers a salary range from $21.03 to $21.91 hourly, along with comprehensive benefits including medical and dental insurance, 401(K) matching, and a sign-on bonus of $1,000.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Experience working with power tools and pneumatic tools preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Autobody or fiberglass experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cosmetic and structural repairs on fiberglass molds.
• Perform routine mold upkeep.
• Clean, wax, buff, and prep fiberglass molds.
• Maintain mold floor textures and gelcoat surfaces.
• Conduct regular inspections for cracks and degradation.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

A little about the position:

Job Summary

The Mold Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that molds remain production ready, structurally sound, and capable of producing high quality fiberglass shells. Mold Technicians maintain the molds in production ready status. They repair molds and alter molds to fit production needs, In some facilities, Mold Technicians also participate in building new molds from scratch, supporting product development and fleet expansion ready, structurally sound, and capable of producing high-quality fiberglass shells.

Some of What You Will Do:

• Perform cosmetic and structural repairs on fiberglass molds, progressing from small surface repair to large refurbishments.
• Perform routine mold upkeep.
• Cleaning, waxing, buffing and prepping fiberglass molds to maintain smooth, defect-free surfaces and ensure proper release during production.
• Maintain mold floor textures and gelcoat surfaces to preserve finish quality and prevent imperfections in produced pool shells.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify cracks, delamination, wear, warping, or structural degradation.
• Maintain a safe work environment through consistent PPE use and adherence to safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
