Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on all precision molds to support the injection molding process and ensure tool readiness.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience, with 5+ years in related work, blueprint reading, and strong problem-solving skills. You will work on 2nd or 3rd shift per the schedule and participate in a safety‑driven workplace.

Qualifications

• Requires reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering prints.
• Experience with preventive maintenance on molds/dies or similar tooling.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal direction.
• Proficient in using ERP (IQMS preferred) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on all molds by disassembling, cleaning, reassembling and storing molds according to ERP system.
• Inspects molds for damage and performs minor repairs.
• Analyzes feasibility and specifications to rebuild tools and dies.
• Reads tooling blueprints and work orders to execute maintenance.

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs preventive maintenance on all molds by disassembling, cleaning, reassembling and storing molds according to the ERP System.
• Performs inspection for damage to molds and performs minor repairs.
• Analyze manufacturing feasibility and specifications using knowledge of tool design, shop math, and assembly procedures to re-build tools and dies.
• Ability to read tooling blueprints and/or engineering parts/welded prints, and work orders.
• Works with little direction while performing maintenance on tools or fixtures for production.
• Organize tool room and request shop supplies as needed.
• Updates tool room schedule as needed with minimal direction from manager.
• Takes direction from Lead Tooling Tech and/or the Tool Room Manager as to daily activities.
• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the success of the organization

• Experience in preventive maintenance on molds, dies, or similar

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form detailed technical notes on troubleshooting activity and progress on repairs and PM work orders

Mathematical Skills

• Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
