Job summary

You will build, modify, and repair molds for fiberglass, resin, and composites, interpreting blueprints and ensuring quality production. The role requires working with hand and power tools, collaborating with artists and production teams, and maintaining a safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and repair molds for fiberglass, foam, composites, and other specialty materials.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and design specifications.
• Construct molds using wood, fiberglass, resin, plaster, silicone, and various other mold-making materials.
• Prepare molds for production ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Perform finishing, trimming, sanding, and surface preparation as needed.
• Collaborate with scenic artists, carpenters, sculptors, and production teams to meet project deadlines.
• Inspect completed molds and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Mold Fabricator Responsibilities

• Experience in scenic fabrication is a plus
