Mold/Die Polisher Progressive tool and die company seeking a Polisher responsible for grinding, sanding or polishing a variety of metals and aluminum using hand tools or hand-held power tools: 1. Grind, sand, clean, or polish objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools. 2. Move controls to adjust, start, or stop equipment during grinding and polishing processes. 3. Select files or other abrasives, according to materials, sizes and shapes of work pieces, amount of stock to be removed, finishes specified, and steps in finishing processes. 4. Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to ensure grinding and polishing standards are met. 5. Verify quality of finished work pieces by inspecting them. 6. Remove completed work pieces from equipment or work tables, using hand tools, and place work pieces in containers. 7. Load and adjust work pieces onto equipment or work tables, using hand tools. 8. Is dedicated to continuous improvement and willing to assist in assembly when polishing is slow. Must have a good attitude, be self-motivated, be able to meet planned time lines and be dedicated to continuous improvement. Open to candidates with various levels of experience. Second shift available. You must undergo drug screening, provide your own tools and pass a physical examination.
