Job summary

Sterilite is hiring a Machinist to support mold repair, inspection, and maintenance at our Davenport, IA facility. You will repair and replace mold components, inspect molds for pits and holes, and ensure molds are clean, disassembled and reassembled correctly.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and about 2 years of related experience or training. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and equal opportunity employment.

• Math basics and ability to perform arithmetic and measurements.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace mold components.
• Inspect molds; clean, disassemble, and assemble molds when necessary.
• Inspect interior surfaces of molds to locate pits or holes.
• Clean, disassemble, assemble and maintain molds when necessary.
• Position molds for work; repair defects and smooth interior surfaces.
• Construct jigs and fixtures for secondary operations on finished goods.
• Machine replacement parts for machines and operate all department machines.
