Job summary

Herman Mold + Tooling, Inc. in Fairfield, IA, is seeking an experienced mold designer to join our team. You will design blow molds using Creo or similar CAD software, ensuring manufacturability and adherence to customer standards, while collaborating with machinists and tool makers.

Day shift, Monday through Friday, with a focus on detail and precision. You will participate in engineering reviews and support quoting as needed, contributing to our established local manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications

• Pro E (Creo) or similar CAD software proficiency.
• Solid understanding of design for manufacturability.
• Ability to incorporate customer standards/specifications into mold design.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with participation in reviews.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with quoting is a plus.

Herman Mold + Tooling is a local, Fairfield, Iowa, company that manufactures aluminum molds used to make plastic products. We have been in business for 37 years serving the Fairfield community. Our molds produce products for a variety of industries including construction, agriculture equipment, automotive, lawn and garden, and more...

We are looking for an experienced mold designer to join our talented team. The mold designer uses CAD software to design blow molds up to our customer standards while following manufacturing best practices. The mold designer with work in a team environment with other designers, machinists, tool and mold makers.

This position is for the day shift, 7:00 a.m - 4:30 p. m. Monday - Friday.
