Job summary

ALPLA Inc. is seeking an experienced molding operator to join our team in Wisconsin. You will assist in mold changes, set up machines for production runs, and verify product quality against specifications.

The role emphasizes minimizing downtime, maintaining equipment, and documenting production data. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience with molding machines, understands plastics materials, and can read process sheets.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
2+ years of experience operating molding machines.
Understanding of plastics materials (HDPE, PP, PET, etc.).
Ability to read process sheets and technical drawings.
Experience with tooling setup, parison control, and troubleshooting minor defects.
Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in mold changes on molding machines and set up machines for production runs.
Conduct startup and verify product quality to meet specifications.
Troubleshoot molding, machine, and tooling abnormalities to minimize downtime and scrap.
Adjust machine settings to optimize cycle time, quality, and efficiency.
Perform preventive maintenance on molds, machines, and auxiliary equipment.
Document setup parameters and production data.
Follow setup sheets and production schedules.
