Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health in Nashua, NH is seeking a Mohs Technician to support Mohs micrographic surgery. You will perform tissue processing, embedding, cryostat sectioning, staining, and slide preparation to ensure accurate, timely specimens for Mohs procedures in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in a medical or dermatology environment, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Experience in medical office, surgical or dermatology environments is preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform tissue mapping, inking, embedding, cryostat sectioning, staining, and slide preparation for microscopic evaluation
• Receive, verify, process, and prepare surgical tissue specimens for Mohs procedures
• Maintain accurate specimen tracking, labeling, documentation, and chain of custody
• Ensure specimen integrity and support efficient surgical workflow through rapid turnaround times
• Operate, clean, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including cryostats
• Maintain laboratory inventory, supplies, and equipment
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CLIA, OSHA, and safety standards
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with surgeons, providers, and clinical staff
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment
