Job summary

Optima Dermatology in Stratham, NH seeks an experienced full-time Mohs Medical Assistant / LPN to join our growing dermatology group.

Responsibilities include scheduling Mohs procedures, reviewing pathology with patients, maintaining CLIA logs, and ensuring labs and exam rooms are organized. Prior dermatology/MOhs experience and EMR proficiency are valued. Excellent team environment with cross-training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Licensed Medical Assistant or nursing degree preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, physicians, and peers.
• Experience with EMR software.
• Dermatology experience is a plus, Mohs experience preferred.
• Critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Mohs and standard appointments and perform pre-op confirmation calls.
• Review pathology and lab results with patients per provider instructions.
• Manage CLIA binder logs on daily, monthly, and yearly cycles.
• Ensure Mohs lab setup and supplies/equipment are organized and stocked.
• Ensure exam rooms are prepared with supplies and equipment.
• Train new clinical support staff.
• Serve as Mohs phone nurse during open hours and return after-hours messages.
• Build and edit scheduling templates per surgeon requests.
• Order Mohs supplies including surgical, cosmetic, sample, and lab items.

Multi-site Dermatology Group Seeks Mohs MA/LPN.

Optima Dermatology is recruiting an experienced full time Mohs Medical Assistant / LPN to join our growing Dermatology group in Stratham. NH.

Position Details

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and Mohs procedure appointments, and conduct pre-op confirmation calls to scheduled patients
• Review pathology and lab results with patients per provider’s instructions
• Oversee the management of the CLIA binder to ensure all logs are completed on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis
• Ensure Mohs lab is completely set up and supplies/equipment are properly store and organized
• Ensure exam rooms are completely set up and supplies/equipment are properly store and organized
• Train new clinical support staff
• Serve as the Mohs phone nurse during open office hours, and ensure that all voicemails are checked and returned in a timely manner (after hours contact required)
• Build, oversee, and edit schedule template, per surgeon’s requests or as needed
• Order Mohs supplies as needed. This includes all surgical, cosmetic, sample, and lab supplies.

Qualifications

• Licensed medical assistant or further nursing degree preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with peers, physicians, and patients
• Prior hands on laboratory experience preferred.
• Prior dermatology experience is a plus, Mohs experience preferred
• Prior EMR experience
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, ability to work with minimal supervision
