Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Factory QA Inspector to join our Owner’s Advisor team supporting METC Recapitalization at Joint Base San Antonio–Fort Sam Houston. This role involves overseeing off-site components, managing inspections, and ensuring conformance to fabrication documents and test plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of fabrication, modular construction, building inspection, or manufacturing QA/QC experience.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to JBSA Fort Sam Houston.
• Ability to interpret shop drawings, tolerances, material certificates, test records, and controlled manufacturing documentation.
• Willingness to travel to assigned plants and document findings objectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform owner-side surveillance of off-site manufactured components and modules before shipment to METC.
• Assign inspections to confirmed plants, production lines, shifts, and inspection demand.
• Review production QC records and inspect against fabrication documents and plans.
• Witness first articles, concealed-work inspections, dimensional checks, and tests.
• Check structural connections, enclosure details, fire/smoke continuity, and MEP interfaces.
• Maintain module serial-number, material-lot, drawing-revision, inspection, and nonconformance traceability.
• Identify defects and support containment, root-cause review, corrective-action verification, and trend reporting.
• Verify shipment-readiness evidence and report release recommendations.
