Job summary

Sylvan Eye Associates in Modesto, California, is seeking a full-time Optometrist to help provide full-scope eye care at a brand-new location. You will diagnose and treat ocular conditions, perform comprehensive eye exams, and guide patients on vision care with a focus on quality and patient satisfaction.

You will greet patients, conduct exams including refractions and contact lens fittings, and manage medical eye care within the practice’s scope.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree with licensure (TPA certification)
• 1–3 years of clinical practice experience (new grads welcome)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills
• Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope optometry care to patients of all ages
• Educate patients on ocular health and vision care
• Conduct refractions, contact lens fittings, and medical exams as scope allows
• Collaborate with staff to ensure high-quality patient experience
• Schedule and manage patient flow to achieve 2–3 patients per hour
