Position Overview

Adjunct Faculty provides a quality learning experience for students on a semester basis. Adjunct faculty reports to a dean or chair and performs instruction-related duties and responsibilities promptly and per the mission, policies, and procedures of the college. The relationship of the adjunct faculty member to the student is one of the teacher and facilitator of learning. The general schedule for this position is 4-8 hours a week and the expected wage range is commensurate with credentials and experience.

Note** Adjunct positions at UCO are part-time teaching positions. This posting is to create a pool of interested applicants from which the Department may draw as sections become open at any point in the current academic year. This posting may or may not result in the hiring of adjuncts.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions

The Department of Modern Languages at the University of Central Oklahoma seeks to hire a Modern Language adjunct to teach the Potawatomi language. This course will be offered in Fall 2022. This course will be offered as an online course.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Experience Required:

Possesses at least a master's degree or equivalent qualifications in the field specified in the position announcement (exceptions require Academic Affairs approval).
Possesses excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
