A Special Education Teacher with Massachusetts Certification in Moderate/Severe Special Needs with specific experience in the areas of working with elementary age students who present with an intellectual/cognitive impairment, language impairment, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, and/or neurological impairments. The teacher must have the experience and ability to collect and analyze assessment data, write and implement Individualized Education Plans and Student Support or Behavior Plans, and work collaboratively and cohesively with general education, special education colleagues, administration, and families. The teacher should have experience in the MCAS – Alternative Assessment. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of professionalism, passion for teaching and learning, highly effective communication skills, and demonstrate cultural proficiency.
