Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. seeks a Modem System Test Engineer to verify PHY and protocol requirements for complex digital modem products supporting 5G/4G.

You will define, develop, and execute advanced test methodologies across the mobile protocol stack (PHY, MAC/RLC/PDCP, RRC, NAS, Data, TCP/IP/UDP) and translate specs into test designs. You will work with software, hardware, RF, and design teams to integrate, test, certify, and commercialize 5G products for worldwide markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or related field.
• Experience with 5G/4G modem verification and test methodology.
• Understanding of physical layer procedures and MAC layer concepts.

Responsibilities

• Define modem KPIs, conduct performance evaluation, and optimize system performance from lab and live 5G networks.
• Develop, execute test strategies and plans; triage modem stack issues with cross-functional teams.
