Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in San Diego seeks a motivated engineer to join the Modem System Test team to help build and validate next-generation wireless technologies, including 5G NR and emerging 6G systems.

You will work with software, hardware, RF design, and test equipment to validate end-to-end functionality, define KPIs, and contribute to certification and commercialization of global modem products. Strong communication and hands-on testing mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Strong understanding of digital and wireless systems and RF propagation.
• Experience with 5G/6G modem testing and lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Validate end-to-end system functionality across the cellular protocol stack.
• Define modem KPIs and evaluate performance with lab, radiated, and field tests.
• Develop test strategies and plans for modem features.
• Analyze 3GPP specs and translate to validation scenarios.
• Perform log analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Support integration, certification and commercialization of global wireless products.
