Ciena Corporation in Atlanta, GA seeks a modem control software developer to push the boundaries of optical networking. You will design, develop, test, and document next-gen modem features in embedded systems, collaborating with multi-functional teams to ensure reliability and performance in service provider networks.

The role requires strong C/C++ skills, Linux knowledge, and hands-on experience with embedded software, drivers, and debugging. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering and strong C/C++ skills.
• Solid knowledge of embedded systems, device drivers and Linux.
• Experience with inter-process communication, synchronization and interrupt handling.

Mansioni

• Develop understanding and expertise in next-gen network solutions using optical transport and switching technologies like OTN, Ethernet etc.
• Develop embedded software skills to design, develop, validate and document advanced networking features and capabilities which are deployed in service provider networks.
• Trouble shoot and fix reported issues with embedded software, Identify root cause, diagnose, debug and deliver robust timely fixes.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design, develop and test the next-gen modem technologies.
