Job summary

NGA in Springfield, VA seeks a Senior Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) Engineer to guide and conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis for GEOINT-related missions. You will define system and data requirements to support NGA business processes and to deliver timely, accurate GEOINT insights.

Responsibilities include leading complex modeling efforts, influencing cloud-based architectures, and mentoring mid- and junior-level MS&A engineers to ensure high-quality analyses and deployment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, MIS, Mathematics, or related STEM field, or equivalent additional experience.
• 12+ years in government or industry modeling large complex System of Systems or SOA environments in cloud, on premise, or hybrid.
• Knowledge of tools development and use in cloud.
• TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.

• Guide modeling NGA architectures, requirements, and systems performance, aligning with NGA/NSG strategies.
• Create models to analyze alternatives, performance/design trades, and enable deployments in NSG architectures and cloud.

Overview

Location: Springfield, VA

Clearance: Active TS/SCI Required

Senior-level Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) Engineers guide and conduct modeling, simulation and analysis activities in support of business stakeholders, analysts, and warfighters to define and analyze system and data requirements to support NGA business and mission processes to ensure timely and accurate GEOINT.

Responsibilities

• Guides the development and use of complex models, tools and algorithms to identify trends and patterns in Big Data.
• Guides modeling NGA’s architectures, requirements, and systems performance and considers NGA and NSG strategies and overall vision for the future of GEOINT.
• Guides the creation of models to support analysis of alternatives, performance trades, design trades and new capabilities and develops alternatives for deployment based on MS&A results in existing NSG architectures and cloud environments.
• Guides the work of Mid- and Junior-level contractor MS&A

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience of 4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree.
• 12+ years of experience working in government or industry modeling large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid
• Knowledge of tools development and use in cloud
• TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
