Job summary

Navigator Development Group Inc. in Fort Bragg, NC is seeking a Modeling and Simulations Specialist to design and implement advanced scenarios using VBS4, build terrain databases, and develop entity models for live, virtual, constructive environments.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or military experience substitute, plus experience with constructive and virtual simulations, video editing, and OO programming languages such as Java, C++, or .NET.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; equivalent military experience may substitute.
• Experience developing scenarios with VBS4 (2+ years).
• Familiarity with building 3D terrain databases and entity objects.
• Experience with constructive and virtual simulations and modeling/simulation scenarios.
• Knowledge of Army Mission Command and/or LVCG Systems.
• Knowledge of at least one OO language (Java, C++, or .NET).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement modeling/simulation scenarios.
• Collaborate with Modeling/Simulations team and analysts to analyze results.
• Contribute to project schedules and milestone deliveries.
• Assist in video editing and scenario authoring tasks as needed.

Job Profile: Modeling and Simulations Specialist

Location: Fort Bragg, N.C.

Schedule: Full time

Security Clearance: Must have active SECRET clearance

This position is contingent upon contract award

Minimum Education Requirement

• Associate degree.
• Four years of related military experience may substitute for academic degree.

Special Skills/Qualifications Required

• Two years of experience developing scenarios with Virtual Battle Space (VBS) 4.
• Shall be familiar with building three-dimensional terrain databases and entity objects using a variety of software.

Minimal Background/Experience Required

• Shall have experience with constructive and virtual computer simulations, video editing, and authoring of modeling/simulation scenarios.
• Knowledge of Army Mission Command and/or Live, Virtual, Constructive and Gaming (LVCG) Systems.
• Knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, C++, or .NET. Knowledge of military operational concepts.

Additional Desired Qualifications/Experience/Characteristics

• Ability to work with self-initiative after receiving initial task guidance.
• Ability to follow project schedules and meet designated completion dates.
• Comfortable with working as a member of a Modeling/Simulations team able to accept guidance as well as provide sound suggestions after conducting analysis of the project.
